To all of my students (especially the ones who are in high school):
Please do not water down the English language by cheapening our words of value. Don’t make “love” the equivalent of “like.” it cheapens the real deal.

If you’ve been in my office, you know that my desk is…well, cluttery. I usually apologize for the clutter when people visit my office, and I usually quip that the messiness of my desk is an indicator of my level of busyness.
